A really busy wedding fayre, we met lots of lovely people, many of whom are considering the Holiday Inn for their special day. What’s great about the Holiday Inn is that you can hire an adjacent room from them where the children can be cared for within view of the main function – definitely a venue to consider.

Event Nannies at Queens Hotel, Chester Sunday 28 January 2018

We met some amazing brides and grooms to be at our first wedding fayre of the year. We were able to showcase our Event Nannying Service and had some exceptional feedback. “Innovative” “Didn’t know we needed this until we met you!” “Wow what a brilliant idea.”

We are expanding – we have a new staff member joining the team in December! As a qualified nursery nurse she will definitely be an invaluable asset to our team. This means that we have extra childcare capacity ……..so get in touch to arrange to view our setting and book your little ones childcare space.

Squib And Squidge – Half Term Clubs And Events

(Monday 30th October – Friday 3rd November)

Clubs
Phonics – £15 Per Child For A 2 Hour Session

This club uses mix of games and activities at a variety of levels, with a focus on phonics throughout. Includes a phonics screening assessment so you know what your child is able to do and where they need to be. Written feedback given at the end of the session. All sessions are led by a qualified and experienced primary school teacher. All resources provided.

Junior Number Bonds – 8-11 Years (Wednesday 1st November)
Infant Number Bonds – 5-7 Years (Wednesday 1st November)
Number Bonds – £15 Per Child For A 2 Hour Session

• Does your child know all of their number bonds?
• Can they recall them rapidly and with accuracy?
• Are they able to apply them in their work?

The inability to recall or apply number bonds continues to be one of the reasons why some children have not yet developed sound mathematical understanding of number. Revisiting this on a regular basis should help your child improve their maths. Our clubs will help your child to improve their skills in this area. Sessions are delivered by a fully qualified and experienced primary school teacher and all materials are included.
Infants Phonics Booster – 5-7 Years (Thursday 2nd November)

EVENTS
Spooky Halloween Party – 10am-2pm – (Tuesday 31st October)
Explosive Firework Party – 10am-2pm – (Friday 3rd November)

Both parties include themed games, food, face-painting and glitter tattoos. Prices are £12 per child for each party.

NOTICES… Could you check when you training days are in your schools and let us know when you need care, and dates/times you need us to look after them during half term itself as soon as possible please.

We Have New Polo Shirts

As a professional childcare service we think it is important to look smart and also be identifiable when out in the community. Our uniform tops and jackets are practical for everyday wear and are printed with our logo and of course our Squib and Squidge name!

New Bus for Squib and Squidge.

In August 2016 we made a big investment in purchasing our Squib and Squidge8 seater bus.  This has made school runs so much easier, as well as allowing us to get out and about during the week to playgroups and activities.  During the school holidays our bus has taken us to the beach, cinema, bowling, park and castles.  We ensure that our Squib and Squidge bus is kept clean and roadworthy, we have a large variety of child seats so parent don’t have to provide us with their own.
